GMT on Oysterflex

Picked up the OF from my AD today. No issues, they had many available. Paid $300. I think it looks pretty good on the GMT.

I normally hate aftermarket rubber, even if it is in house, but I have to admit, that looks. OK!

looks good! I'm surprised your AD allowed you to purchase the oysterflex naked. Is that common practice?

Hmm. Oysterflex halves are $270 each. He gave you an almost 50% discount?

Not sure what to say, it was $290 plus tax. Don’t know if it was a hook up or a mistake.

They must have charged you for one and given you the other for free. It might have been a take-off unit from someone who purchased an OF model and needed a different size.

Looks good BTW.

It also looks like yours might be an early one that glows green instead of blue.

Either way you did well with authentic AD pieces. These are hard to get (let alone at half price lol). I have a couple spare OF and that same GMT LN and might give it a shot after seeing yours.

I think the rose gold root beer would look awesome on oysterflex.

Has anyone tried the GMT BLRO on the OF?

Is there only one oysterflex band model? So you just have to ask for the oysterflex for the gold Daytona? And you use your own clasp? Looks great I’d like to do the same

I asked for the OF on the Yachtmaster 40 as it has the same lug width and no end links. And yes I used my clasp off the bracelet

Amazing. I’d love to do the same. Mind sharing which AD was friendly enough to make this happen? Thank you!

Can you post a close up picture of the spacing between the OF and the watch? Are there any gaps? How is the fit?

I think it looks awesome, so I might have to look for one for my BLNR!

Thanks and blue skies!

Certainly a little gap but I expected that and actually prefer that for non-bracelet straps.

This looks great. Have you tried it on the YM40 yet? Interested to see how that looks as I’m considering it for mine

And Smarty makes endlinks for it if you want that look. I have them for when I put my Daytona on OF.
