Submariner Authenticity
Came across this submariner advertised as circa 2000-2001 K Serial, I am not familiar with vintage but does the cyclops magnification look right?

Vintage is 2001?! Where does the time go!
Cyclops magnification does look a little less than I’d expect but it may just be a camera issue. Or it has a replaced crystal?

This dealer has mixed reputation and forum member has caught him selling fake watch before so wanted to look out for community in case this one turns out to be fake.

Also, probably in the wrong section too - this is technically still a contemporary model so you may get better responses in the other sub (excuse the pun) section.
The crystal is 100% aftermarket. The scary thing is the 16610 has been so well reproduced that you can really only rely on trusted dealers or if you have enough knowledge, physically inspect it before exchanging money. |
