Icon20 New Here! Need advice

Good morning everyone! I am brand new to the Rolex world. I just purchased my first datejust. It’s yellow gold and stainless with a white face, and a fluted bezel. I don’t know a lot about the brand. I purchased this watch secondhand from a very reputable jeweler in my area.

The face/crystal of the watch seems to be very delicate. In the week that I’ve had it I have noticed two marks- a small scratch near the 10, and a wide shaving off of the side of the glass between 4 and 6. I swear these were not there when I purchased, but they absolutely could have been. I am not rough with my jewelry. Any advice on keeping the crystal/face blemish-free?

In addition, the watch is losing about 5 minutes a day. I wound it, and I’m taking it back to the jeweler on Tuesday for check. Any tips?

Welcome to the forum. I’m unclear as to how old the watch is. If the service history is unknown, you could send it to RSC for a service
