Rolex Sub and Tudor BB58 Owners

When you own both a Submariner (or Sub Date) and Tudor BB58, do both get time in rotation or do you find yourself choosing one more often than the other?

Interested in a Blue BB58, but not sure about redundancy and wrist time. The blue would definitely bring color diversity to my collection.

Just got the new Sub and some will see this as heresy but I am still wearing my BB58 Navy Blue more, I just find it so comfortable. The difference in quality between the 2 is noticeable (especially in the bracelet & clasp) as it should be with the Sub costing double. But the BB58 is an excellent watch that you can wear anywhere and it’s also an absolute strap monster. Also Sub dial is black so if you go for the BB58 Navy Blue you have got some variation.

I used to have a black bb58 on various straps straps and a Subc at the same time. The BB was a much better fit, but I could get over the gilt no matter how hard I tried to get to love it and ended up selling it. My Subc is still with me.

I probably wear my Submariner slightly more than my BB58. To me the Submariner is definitely the better watch of the two but there is still something special about the BB58.

Definitely room for both watches I would say.

I own the SS Submariner ND and a Hulk. I also own all the colors in the BB 41 line-up and have just traded out of the BB 58. My Tudors get about 10x the wear of my Rolex models. They are just so easy to wear and with the options of bracelet/strap/NATO are a lot more fun than my Rolex watches. I do like to flex on occasion so I do wear some Rolex models. I own both the SS Daytona-C's and both of the new Tudor Chrono's. I bought the Tudors to replace the Daytona's when I get around to selling them. You can not go wrong with the Tudor and the only issue you might face will be the fact that it will somewhat replace the Submariner. But that maybe good depending on how you look at it.

I own several BB58 variants and same for the sub and would say I probably wear the Tudors about twice as often as the subs. Love the subs but feel more comfortable in the BB58 as it's a little more low-key with a vintage feel. When I want a bit more pop and presence I throw on a sub.

Tend to wear my BB58 (blue) more than my 41mm Submariner, and I think I might wear the Sub a tiny bit more than my BB58 925, but haven’t logged usage.

While I really like the comfort of the Glidelock, the clasp is just comically large. I also tend to prefer the more toned down look and feel of the BB58, and it’s not as shiny as the Submariner which I find a huge plus.

I wear my BB58 blue more. But I also just got it so honeymoon phase. There is def room in a collection for both.

I own the Hulk and am picking up the BB58 preowned soon. I understand the dials are very different in this case but am honestly looking forward to wearing the Tudor on varied straps vs. my Sub on bracelet only. The Rolex craze has me hesitant to wear my Sub right now even though it’s insured at market value.

Haven’t worn my sub (14060) more than a handful of times over the past several years.
(Have Even considered selling it). Recently picked up the blue 58 and very much appreciating it. Wearing it right now.

Only quibble is the oem leather strap fit is unwearable. So I’m using an old nato

I purchased my blue BB58 two weeks ago, and it hasn't left my wrist. For the foreseeable future, my Sub is gonna get a break.

Love the way it fits and wears Very light and comfortable

Sold my blue BB58 shortly after receiving my 124060. For me there was little point having a Sub and a Tudor version of a Sub in the same collection. I have plenty of other watches from Seiko that serve the same role that the Tudor did in that scenario.

I’ve had multiple opportunities to pick up the BB58 in blue (once on strap, and once on bracelet). Ultimately passed both times as I prefer the Submariner.

Depending on the day and what’s ahead I rotate between my black BB58, 126610LV, 126710BLNR, 126000 OP36, Speedy 3592.50.

I have a 114060 Sub and the blue bb58 on bracelet. I've had the Tudor for about 4 months, and time will tell if it will stand the test of time. The sub is superior, I prefer it, but the Tudor has a certain charm. It could probably go and I wouldn't miss it, but I've made hasty decisions in the past and regretted it, so I'll hang on to it for at least a full year before making a final decision.

So far, I like the watch and it has a place in the collection. I haven't been wearing it much but I mostly blame my recent BLNR acquisition. Sub hasn't gotten much wrist time either!

Have to say that I wear my BB58 bronze way more than my Submariners. I like the warmth and versatility and the depth of the dial. Also got tired of conversations about how I got a Rolex and if I paid resell. I don't even bother posting Rolex pics on social media because that invites similar conversation.

I have and wear both. SF is a bit sketchy walking around with a Rolex so tend to wear the BB58 when I am walking the city.

Not exactly the same, but I have a SubC, Tudor Sub, and a BBN ETA. All get wrist time.

I find that I wear my Tudor GMT most of the time during the week and will wear the Submariner on weekends when I go out for the evening. Probably should give the Sub a little more wrist time.

I also own both the Sub and BB58 blue and don’t feel that they’re redundant at all. Equal wrist time for both.
I leave the Sub on the bracelet but have fun with different straps variations for the BB.
