Ditto
Were these factory built and given out as gifts/prizes to employees/friends of the company? Or were they modified aftermarket? Also, was this a one-time thing or were there multiple versions of them? Would be interested to know the history of this. |

As far as I know there are no 'authentic' Rolex MM watches, just authentic Rolex watches with customised/repainted dials.

“ It has been suggested that all Mickey Mouse dialed Rolex watches are fakes. Well not necessarily fake Rolex watches, but rather real ones that have had aftermarket dials placed in the watch. There is actually some merit to this argument because aftermarket Mickey Mouse Rolexes do exist. Based on my research however, I would say that it looks very likely that Rolex did have an actual relationship with Disney in mostly the 1960s and 1970s up to the early 1980s. In that time there seems to have been a series of Rolex watches with Mickey on the dial. These appear to be direct homages to the original Ingersoll Mickey Mouse dials.” https://www.ablogtowatch.com/rolex-o...on-james-list/ |

Pretty sure they're all bogus aftermarket jobs not to be discussed.

Why on earth not? We’re talking genuine watches with aftermarket dial. How is that any different than an aftermarket strap? Looking forward to seeing what the community has. Lots of fun !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Why the hate? It’s nice to talk about something other than waiting lists and Daytona values. This place has changed so much over the last few years. ![]() Used to be a fantastic area for learning and all who contributed were insightful, positive and helpful. Those who didn’t have anything to say just didn’t post. Good topic OP. I’m sure far more knowledgeable people will be along soon. I’d love to see some other examples of logo’s that Rolex have done. (Domino’s/military markings etc) I’m sure there are some incredibly rare pieces owned by members here who will hopefully share. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There are plenty of 'Mickey Mouse' 'Rolexes' out there.
They're mostly made in China I believe. |

I once met a regional Mgr/officer with McDonald’s corp who was visiting one of his franchisees. We had a conversation away from the counter and I complemented him on his 18K/904 jubilee w/Fluted Rolex DJ. It was a gift from the Corporation for milestones and yrs of service and the the dial was Champagne with a McDonald’s logo on it. It was really nice and pretty sure it wasn’t aftermarket.
So I could see Rolex doing this for any brand. |

Ariel wrote that 11 years ago. Still no papers sighted as far as I know.
Maybe ask Rob: www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=636386

Pretty sure they are Rex original (in some cases) as I'm sure they're covered in one of the Rolex books I have.
I'll try and dig out the section.

Man you new guys are tough. Back in the day, it was nothing to change dials on Rolexes. It was actually a big market back then. No one thought anything of it.

I used to collect Mickey Mouse watches and still have around a half dozen.
I have been to Disneyland hundreds of times back when you could actually do that without mortgaging your home. I have never seen a Rolex Mickey for sale inside. Although Ingersoll (Timex) and Helbros made most, there are some high-end Mickeys made by Seiko and a few others to include: Lorus, Chopard, Gérald Genta (Bulgari), Bradley, and Fossil.. In California shops outside the park, you could by Rolex and other top-brands with Mickey or Minnie painted on the dials. These are not aftermarket, they are authentic, original dials, just not painted on by either Disney or Rolex.

Well especially in todays age most all Rolex watches have become Micky-mouse watches with the silly nicknames attached to most of them.Once they were a prestigious brand but now thought of as little more than ££$$€€ objects by many or now silly nickname micky mouse watches.
