Vintage Glashütte Spezimatic
While I still don't have a (current production) Glashütte Original, I just picked up this vintage GUB Glashütte Spezimatic. The GO Sixties looks a lot like this one -- except for the 3 and 9 on the dial on the new watches, and the date at 3 on this caliber 75 watch.
I'm not 100% sure that the dial is original -- it looks original enough, but it's almost *too* perfect for a 50-year-old watch. The movement seems to be the real thing. See attached wrist shot, movement (pulled the back off to make sure there were no surprises there), and my current trio of German watches: 1) vintage Junghans Trilastic 2) the GUB Glashütte 3) Mühle Glashütte Teutonia Big Date |

Very nice. Dial appears very clean but if the watch has lived a good life it may be original.
I have two Spezichron dials that equally look "like new". Perhaps these just age well? |
