For how many watches are you listed at AD ?
Just wanted to know how many is too many ? The thing is, with their slow deliveries you have to apply for a few and then receive them one by one in a span of few years , but i wanted to see if that makes you a "not serious" buyer if you keep adding pieces to the list ?
I am currently at number 3 , applied for 126900 yesterday , love it . The other 2 are 126300(6 moths ago) slate and 126610LV (3 years) ago . I recently got BLRO from y AD ,and he let me know that everything that i ordered i will receive , but its a matter of time . Im not a big spender on other stuff , so its kinda okay for me to wait . |

One. I tend to be listed for one at a time. I don't know what the inner workings of my AD are but I do know that with the possible VVIP and friends exceptions, which I have no knowledge of, they are not supplying watches to people who are listed for multiple models at once. I last discussed this with my AD's Rolex Buyer in March this year and he tole me that although I would be waiting for some tome for my next watch (Sky Dweller), I was favoured because it's the only Rolex I have asked to be listed for. Mind you, we buy other stuff from them, so I suppose that helps.

As long as your AD knows you I don’t think it matters. Mine asked me to give him a list of all the watches I was interested in so they have more options and they can keep an eye out for me when watches come in. According to them you can’t order Pateks or Rolexes they just sell whatever inventory they get sent. So far they’ve delivered two pieces to me.

None from Rolex - one from AP.
I can't focus on more than one at a time, even if that takes quite a long time. I pick up the odd vintage piece along the way which fills the waiting gap nicely. |

This. I don’t want one of everything. My one by one requests have come over time as my finances and desires dictate. I currently have three very diverse Rolex watches and a half dozen other brands that get some wear, nothing else I want or need right now.

Just one and it’s a Tudor beater watch! No prob getting on the list in January but they’ve stopped taking new orders since then.

One. The Submariner is my grail watch. After I get it I can maybe think about another Rolex. Explorer II Polar?

Four.
But it might as well be zero. I think much of this really depends on the country/city you're in. My realistic chance of getting a SS or TT Rolex is about the same as winning the lottery. I'm fairly convinced that there are only two choices in my case: 1) Stop wanting a Rolex. Move on with life, look at different watches, get a different hobby. I could buy a nice Ducati for the price of these watches! 2) Buy Grey. |

2: ss Daytona and the new lefty GMT. Not sure I’ll get either, but I have a solid relationship with my AD (responds to emails immediately, have purchase history, talked about long term collection plans). Good luck to all!

One at a time. Rando folks that ask for multiple hot references are discounted as flippers/investors. This strategy has worked well for me.

So true! I never bother asking about the hottest watches. I’m on the list for a polar Explorer II at the moment. Last time I was in I had to wait for a guy from out of town passing through try to casually inquire about a blue dial Sky Dweller, then a white or black Daytona, then a Pepsi. The owner and I had a good laugh about it after he left. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Currently waiting on two, but they are very similar (BLNR and VTNR). What I told the two AD’s I have a relationship is that I really want the BLNR but that eventually I’d like to own both so if a VTNR becomes available for any reason I’ll come running down. I’ll have to report back with results, but it was interesting the larger of the two AD’s said the VTNR will have a longer wait and be harder to get, but the smaller one conveyed the opposite based on the number of people waiting for both vs. the level of inventory they’ve received in years past.

Just two, the new GMT lefty for dad and the TIF 36 for my Muse. Nothing for me Rolex at the moment, yet waiting on three non-Rolex timepieces for myself (Czapek, M.A.D., and MB&F) and a custom timepiece (Torsti Laine) for my Muse.

They are nice , and i have developed a nice relationship with SA,very helpful. I explained that that PM models are out my reach from the start and that i am mostly interested in SS models. Tbh,if get a piece a year i am happy. Aint pushing for them too much ,occasional call and a visit. I dont wanna go grey simple for the fact 1 - i like the expirience i get when buying whatches from AD. I dont want to receive a watch in mail that represents something for me( nothing wrong with it , its just not my thing) . I like creating memories . Im also not into online shopping too, i like trying on sneakers and stuf. 2nd reason is that i am cheap af , lol |

My AD will only allow you to be officially listed for one model at a time, however he knows what I have and I will occasionally get a call with an offer.

Zero, I stop buying Rolex 10 years ago, the waiting list nonsense is not for me. I rather give my money to companies that appreciate their customers.
