Milgauss periodic service
Hello,
I purchased a brand new Rolex Milgauss GV in 2012, and have been wearing it every day since, except for 1 year during lockdown. Recently, my watch started lagging behind, and many days when I wake up, I find it stopped and need to wind it up. So I guess it is time to send my watch for periodic service. However, I learned that such service takes a few weeks, and Rolex does not have an official service in Turkey, nor does it in any European country I frequently visit. I talked with an official Rolex retailer in Turkey and they told me they provide such service, but they charge a very high amount. Considering that they are only an official retailer and NOT an official Rolex service center, do you think that I should instead have my watch serviced by another service shop that charges a reasonable fee? Do you have any similar experience? Thank you! |

“Reasonable” is code for cheap. It’s a Rolex, why would you hunt for the cheapest service? If you don’t want to send it out of country then find the best service you can locally and pay the price. If the AD is confidence inspiring and warrants their work I would have it serviced there. In the absence of a local Rolex service center they probably do a lot of service.

You should be able to send it to a Rolex Service Center through an Authorized Dealer. I serviced a MG late last year through RSC and the cost was $750 USD Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

They charge around 700 Euro. As suggested, I will try to learn if I can send it to a Rolex Service Center through an Authorized Dealer, and whether in such case they provide 2 year warranty.
