No GMT VTNR’s for sale on the secondary market?

Every year for as long as I can remember, even before the current madness around prices, Rolex newly released models were for sale within days if not hours in some cases, yet no lefty GMTs, there was one but I don’t believe it was genuine, gets me thinking is Rolex trying a new strategy with this model, it has had a mixed response, but there will also be many speculators who would like to get there hands on this model, I suspect taking a pint that it may not be in production that long and could be a real cash cow? New strategy or just slow to release what’s your thoughts?

You know the very first delivered will be on the secondary market in an instant for enormous money. I bet 35k right off the bat.

I think will be more than that. So much hype, love, and hate for this model. So $50k is my guess.

Its funny because Rolex didn't come up with this new iteration to make it limited. They will be PUMPING destros out. LOL

Outside of 2020 when Covid messed with everything, I have never seen the new arrivals within days. Case in point, my high volume Boutique got their first BLRO in June '18 after March's introduction. I think they will start showing up worldwide in late May/early June, and yes the aftermarket prices will be absurd in the beginning.

You're correct, early May is typical.

I received this one On May 4th 2017. I believe Lee (in the UK) bested me by a day or two

Not even on my radar - getting very negative online feedback as well. Great for lefties, only to be worn on the right hand, or collectors to keep on their shelf, and that is it.

That’s what I am seeing. Most WISs are OCD to some extent; how ‘ya gonna live with a “backward,” green watch? It’s so bad that some get dizzy looking at pictures so of it. I wonder if this is where Rolex “jumps the shark.”

I don’t know but it will probably ride the hot Rolex SS train regardless, but unless this is discontinued after 1 year, I think this is even awful as an investment. For left handers that really want to buy and wear them, good for them.

AD's have been bombarded with calls. These will be pre-sold for at least 5 years

My AD said they have only had one call for this. So, not all ADs have been bombarded.

Same - the hype train for speculators will pop up to increase their investment though.

My AD hasn't seen one yet. They estimate they will get about five this year.

My AD got phone and email bombed for the VTNR on its announcement. List now closed, even though they were only listing locals and established clients only.

Let's face it, the path from AD's 'back door', to the black market is very well worn these days, and the clamour for anything vaguely 'on trend', Turquoise, Green, or God forbid Pink, or Vermillion, by the muppets that pay the bloated prices, ensures the madness continues.

Witness the silliness around the plastic Omega moonswatches.
....and don't even mention the utter bo**ocks surrounding the silly myth that is highlighted by the pricing of some of PP's product. (JMHO)

I'd rather spend my dough on something nice for the garden.
Tulip bulbs perhaps.
