Leather Nato Straps... what do you think?

Hey all, what do you think of the leather nato straps some folks put on their subs?

Any recommendations on where to find the best ones?

Also for those of you who may have them, are they hard to fit between the case and the spring bars? I have a newer maratac zulu strap that i can barely get to fit, i can only imagine leather would be worse no?

There's only one man for such an item . . . His name is JJ, and he's out of Australia. He so adores the Nato strap that he lovingly carves each one by hand out of sheep skin.

No, it was just a joke. The J/K at the end means just kidding.

JJ, as far as I have read, is not a fan of the Nato. Sheep, yes. But not the Nato.

I don't like nato straps but there are a lot here on TRF who do. Here's a couple of threads that you might find interesting.

Greg,
Your timing is impecable. I'm a recent convert to nato straps [see The Nylon Nation sticky thread in the non Rolex watch section] and have just purchased some leather natos. The black leather on the Tudor DD was purchase on ebay. The blue shark skin was purchased here: http://natostrap.blogspot.com/search?q=shark+nato .
Leather seems thicker than nylon but they fit perfect with the existing spring bars, no worries. Very comfortable and dress up you watch just enough yet still retains the tool watch asthetic. Plus you can carry a nylon and leather strap if you travel so you can dive w/ the nylon during the day and easily switch to leather for a night out on the town.
GET ONE!!
Good luck,
