Tudor Subs and Mini-Subs
Hi all, I've been lurking around here since I bought my Tudor Prince Oysterdate 6 months ago (lovely watch!!!). It's so fantastic to see what knowledge there is in here!
Now I'm thinking of buying a smaller Tudor Submariner or a Mini-Sub, and trying to find a good deal but that fact that there is many fakes and frankens out there start to pissing me off due to my own lack of knowledge in this field. Is it ok to post a couple of eBay links here to see if these are all good to keep my eyes on? Otherwise I could PM them to someone willing to help. Many thanks in advance! Tomas, Sweden |

hello, i haven't seen any? (mids and mini's) i look at the money trail.
what would it take to make vs selling (profit margin) the margin isn't really worth it, plus the time line of the sale. nice but not a great seller in the terms of demand. take a small rose no date tudor sub. margin and demand would be high. but as soon as i say this, a fake (mid or mini) will pop up? |

Ok, here we go. Anyone who own these auctions, please, no offense... It's just my total lack of Tudor experience and it scares the shit out of me to buy something expensive that actually isn't worth nothing... (This thread maybe should be moved, maybe too general?)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=110408202578 (not sure here...) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=260439771062 (I love this one, but where is the "Swiss Made"? Re-finished dial?) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=400059329785 (seems to be correct) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=370211752763 (This one is ok, but why is this model called Ladies version? It's bigger than the Mini, and th 35mm width should be perfect for my small vrist) Thanks in advance! / T. |

Thank you very much Blaine, this info is as you might think, very useful for me.
This one is very interesting for me, I might have a go on this if it's all ok (which my intuition says...) http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Tudor-Ro...3%3A4|294%3A50 Thanks, / T. |

this is just my opinion:
33mm and 35mm are not in HIGH DEMAND! so another words you can afford to be more choosy (picky). box and paper one owner type of stuff. i always like to know the the model and serial #, including the band numbers a fold over link band on a mini-sub i REALLY don't know? maybe a more knowledgeable member will post? price on mini's are directly related to the color of dial and bezel. that is today, in 5-10 yrs champagne may be back on top. 1. blue 2. black 3. champagne happy hunting! |

it appears that fold over links on mini-subs did happen.
the end pieces would be marked 369 and the end link is 7837. early 80's ask the seller if you are going after it, about the numbers between the lugs? i guess would be a model number that starts w/ 94** or 94***. if that isn't it try a 73*** if he opens it for you, the movement should be a eta cal. 2671 cheers |
