126710BLRO Jubilee to Oyster confirmed for UK

Just to let you guys know that I have been successful in obtaining a PCL Oyster for my Pepsi which came on a Jubilee. My watch is a Feb 2021 watch, so before Rolex released both variants of bracelet on the BLRO and BLNR.

I had it done whilst I waited at RSC St James's Sq. Took around 30mins from entering and leaving RSC. Some staff still think that this sale is not allowed but it is now authorised for sale by Rolex.

Price is £1500 incl VAT for the Oyster and you retain the Jubilee. They even leave the stickers on if you so desire but I asked him to pull them off. My eyes ain't what they were...

I emailed RSC London and this was their reply which lead me to visit them today to get it done.

We are pleased to advise that the Oyster bracelet is now available for purchase, priced at £1,250.00 + VAT.

We have plenty of bracelets in stock so you are welcome to present the watch in person here at St James’s Square to have this fitted at any point between the hours of 09.00-17.00, Monday-Friday. Your Jubilee bracelet will be returned to your care upon completion.

Alternatively, you can order this bracelet via any Official Rolex Retailer.

That's some great information, and offers a lot of owners the opportunity to change the look!

That's great news. Presumably it is also possible to go from Oyster to Jubilee?

£2,100 is what my AD quoted me.

Then they said Rolex has spiked it. Spare bracelets not allowed. I could swap but they would keep the Oyster bracelet.

Now it looks like it's back on. Good news. We're picking something up next month for my wife's birthday and I enquire then.

Maybe easier to just deal with RSC London. Here is the email:

Via a swap - not to keep the other bracelet has always been the case, at least from what’s been posted here on the forum .

Rolex UK (I cant vouch for other countries) said that any owner of an Oyster BLRO BNLR 126710 could purchase a Jubilee bracelet and have the oyster returned to them. In other words, owner keeps the jubilee as well. This was because the Juiblee GMT had already been in production for a while and spares where available.

This was not the case for the Oyster bracelet, which only became available to buy very recently, a few weeks at the most. At the time in 2021 post release of the GMT on Oyster, Rolex said it would be available but as the GMT Oyster was a new model at the time, all their stocks are being used for retail watches and hence no stock for spares.

However they 'did' say to me in oct 2021 that the Oyster would become available for sale sometime in 2022, to which is has.

Please remember, this is what I was told by UK RSC in St James's. Other Countries RSC or ADs may have a different policy.

Wish GMT's still came with brushed bracelets.

Not a fan of PCL

This would be my perfect configuration for a GMT Master Oyster bracelet. But the Jubilee is so comfortable.

They are so easy to brush. Much easier than reversing PCLs. I’ve done this myself to numerous bracelets.

That's good to hear. When I spoke to my AD they told me the watch would be sent to RSC for the swap but they would keep the jubilee bracelet.
