Is this polished?

Been looking at this watch on chrono24.
All the side stickers intact but the crown guards seem polished?
Been comparing NOS photos to this one and it appears polished.
Can I get some second opinion from the TRF experts please?
For your reference, it's a 16610

I wish I could upload some more photos/video of this watch showing the side stickers, tight bracelet etc but I can't seem to do so (either the file size is too big or the dimensions are not right).

Thanks in advance TRF

What confuses me is that the watch appears to be in a mint or near mint condition in the video and additional photos I got from the dealer. As mentioned above, side stickers still intact, no stretch in bracelet, all lugs looking sweet but as I was ticking off all the boxes, I just saw the crown guards and they looked polished. In the videos I was sent, the lugs appear fine? as in, it's actually not round like the photo I shared. Hard to describe but let's see what others think. I wish uploading photos were bit easier for a non tech-savy person like myself! haha

2 examples of NOS. The crown guards look similar though? Maybe it's just the design?

Hope some of us can be bothered comparing for a potential buyer here :)

These lugs look polished to me. Especially the bottom one. To me, the appropriate unpolished lugs for a 16610 appear as "approaching peak, mesa, then descending peak", with the mesa being important. The bottom lug appears to be all peak.

You might want to double-check if all the images you've received are of the same watch, if I'm being optimistic, sometimes images get mixed up. And being optimistic again, sometime if an image is photoshopped and the person is not good at it, the image will get a little warped. If you are serious about this watch, let the seller know that you don't think the images are all of the same watch. See what he says. Otherwise, listen to the noise. There are plenty of other 16610s out there, some, it appears, without noise.

Thanks for your comment. Yeah it is indeed the watch I've been thinking to buy. The seller sent me 3 videos and some high quality photos but I just don't know how to share all that on TRF.

Bit strange to see the side factory stickers intact but the crown guard looking polished in some pictures.

There was slight variations on the crown guards on the 16610. Some are more rounded (pointed) as in your photo and others are more flat with edges. Attached is a photo of two 16610LV’s I owned since new. Both are unpolished. The one on the right has the rounded (pointed) crown guards and the one on the left has more flat crown guards with edges.

That's very interesting. Is the variation random? or based on certain circa? if latter, could you shed some light please?

I can confirm this as well. The more polished/pointed CGs from the factory seem to be more prevalent towards the end of the run (around F serials and onwards).

I did once but I couldn't find TRF? or at least connect to the forum? not sure where I went wrong. Now that you mention this uploading function via the app, I ought to give it another shot. Cheers.

It’s the only way, trying to post a picture on this forum without using Tapatalk is like trying to do brain surgery for the first time.
