150th British Open
Well, who you got?
Always a great tournament. Hopefully a little less drama than 1999. Anyone remember this?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV8Qj91T3o0 |

Those links golfers always have a shot! Agreed it would be great to see either win. I'd assume Rory is a favorite. Hopefully he can make a run like he did in Augusta.

I think there real news of the day is Jack’s honorary citizenship, only awarded to two other Americans before him ... Benjamin Franklin, and Bobby Jones.

The other day, watched a show about the 2009 tournament.
All these years later, that one still bums me out.

I'm rooting for a LIV Tour player to win. Getting tired of the PGA Tour and media bashing them.

I think there are at least 10 LIV players in the field.

Wow. Surely some of the big names will have a shot. Imagine the narrative if one of the LIV golfers end up winning.
Just saw a headline that PGA Tour is being investigated for antitrust violations. Thinking it might have been in the PGA's best interest to just coexist with LIV. Who knows... |

Imagine if DeChambeau and Koepka were dueling it out on Sunday. Two LIV rivals. That would put the golf world in a frenzy. |

Not me. I think it's weak that some players are selling out for the money. I get it but the PGA and European Tours have provided players with fantastic opportunity to make a great living while giving fans a chance to see the best in the world go at it week after week.

I agree, but the pga tour isn’t doing these guys any favors. They don’t hand them huge signing bonuses like other sports teams. You get your card, and you are guaranteed nothing. You get $0. You don’t even get the option to play in the majority of the tour events. You can play in the off events during majors, and limited starts based on availability. So they don’t really do anything for the younger guys. They do provide a great opportunity to make an awesome living if you play well. If you don’t play well in your first year, bye bye. Back to korn ferry if you played well enough on the pga tour, or potentially back to Q school. Q school with like 9 consecutive rounds of your life to get your card again. Love the pga tour, don’t really care about the liv stuff either way. Their coverage isn’t good but guys should have an option to play where they want if they are independent contractors, which they are. Liv has really only taken a few guys at the top of their career. Phil, Kevin kna, pat Perez, these guys are at the end of the road. I can’t blame them for taking a huge payout. There is a reason the pga tour is making some no cut events and pumping more cash in. Even though these guys make a crazy amount of money, it’s nothing like top athletes in other sports. And the woman, they basically play for peanuts. At the shop right lpga, the winner made 262k ![]() LPGA liv tour is coming, that’s my prediction. I wouldn’t be surprised if they take 50% of the LPGA tour immediately. These girls make garbage money winning tournaments at a professional level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

With the good weather that’s forecast they will be able to pitch it right up to the flag, just as they do on the PGA Tour. Shorts odds for an American winner I reckon.
London is cooking a bit right now! We are not used to this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The Queen is only 92 or something. How can there be 150 British Opens?

Rough day for Tiger. He'll need a miracle round tomorrow and hope the weather keeps average scoring high.

You’re right he had a tough day. I played competitively years ago and couldn’t imagine playing without being able to practice as much as I wanted. I’m glad Tiger was able to win that Masters with his children in attendance and hope he somehow can get one more win on tour to move past Sam Snead for the record.
