Bob Ridley

Greetings,

I have called and emailed Bob, 4-5 times in the past week in an attempt to have him (hopefully) preform his magic on my Father's 4139 (Precision). I have not been successful in speaking with him.

I have seen the amazing work that Bob, has done and sincerely wanted him to do the work. But, since he is not able to get back with me, I was wondering if some of you folks might have another person that you respect to preform repair on these older models. This piece still runs, but needs considerable work.

Thank you, for your time.

Indeed, but does this mean that Bob has fully retired?

Not that I am aware of. Could be busy, or simply on vacation as this is the season in the US.

Hello all,
Yes, apparently it was my turn receive a visit from Covid. Fortunately, the symptoms were like a mild flu. Having tested negative now and feeling much better I’m happily back at the bench.

For those whose calls and or emails that were missed, my sincere apologies. During my illness, Jana was not in the office. She returned Monday and is going through all correspondence at this time. If by chance she misses one of you, please follow up via email or call.

Btw, appreciate all the “get well thoughts”
Bob

Bob is still working, thankfully! He just completed my 1963 Sub. I was concerned about damage being done, or unwanted restoration to the untouched original dial. I wasn’t confident that anyone else would be as competent or compliant to my needs. Bob spoke with me on several occasions, asking me what I wanted done and always respectfully made recommendations. I trust Bob to only use period correct, genuine Rolex components.
Bob was readily available and Jana, who works with Bob, is a delight and always responsive to questions and updates.
I don’t know his son, but I hope he follows his fathers footsteps, if and when Bob retires.
