Can only keep one... 15202ST or 5164A?

Hey guys, I'm confronted with the fact that I need to get rid of one of these for an important purchase. My collection is rather small, but if you could keep only one, what would you keep? 15202ST from 2018, or a 5164A from 2016?

keep the Jumbo imo.....more 'original' design (Genta) plus i feel it's an absolute icon compared to Aquanaut.

5164 is slightly bigger, has a way nicer dial, better movement, actually has a seconds hand which makes it actually fun to look at since it is animated... 15202 is overrated

I’m shocked by mostly 5164 suggestions so far. For me, the 15202 is a modern classic and the no-brainer keeper between the two. It’s literally royalty.

Have you handled both in the flesh? That may change your mind. I owned both. I still have the 5164a. The dial is so much nicer on the 5164. It has more wrist presence. The lack of quick change date and lack of seconds hand really sucks.

I’ve handled a 15202 many times but only a 5164 RG, never the SS.

I much prefer the RO

The AP is the “classic” but the 5164 is a far greater display of its maker’s exceptional talent.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

15202 is an icon but the 5164 is an exceptionally well-designed GMT and one of the best from Patek.

Me personally would keep a Royal Oak even over a Nautilus.

My gosh. I can’t believe this is even a race.

Patek all day.

Way better complication. super functional. Better lume. Usable wr. Way more comfortable.

No contest for me.

I agree with my dog.

It's really based on your style/lifestyle but I've owned the 15202 and 15300 while also owning a 5167 and my PP got hands down more wrist time than either AP.

I know its a 5164, but that's maybe even better!

One watch? AP, and I am a HUGE fan of the aquanaut travel time. The 15202 is a classic.

i would go AP Jumbo anyday.

versatile, both dressy and sporty at the same time.

The Jumbo is an icon so I voted for it. I would say it depends on what else is int he collection and what your daily is. If the aquanaut is your daily then it may make sense to keep it. If bother are just occasional watches you wear I would definitely keep the AP over a rubber strap Patek.

5164

But no one brought up the most important question - what are you freeing up funds for?!?

If we are talking about daily or frequent wearing, I could see how someone could pick the 5164 over the 15202ST. Otherwise, there is no competition - 15202 all the way. If you were comparing it to a 5711 or 5712, it would be a lot closer, but there’s no way in my mind a rubber strap Patek that was designed to be the brands second best sports watch compares to the original and most iconic steel bracelet luxury sport watch with one of the most historically interesting watch movements ever made.

I also have to disagree that the 5164 dial looks better than the 15202. Looks are subjective, of course, but compared to the engine-turned petite tapisserie dial of the 15202, the stamped dial of the Aquanaut looks unrefined and a bit cheap to me, and this is coming from someone who would love to add a 5164 to my collection someday.
