In What Year Did You First Wear Rolex?

Many TRFers have discussed the age at which they acquired their first Rolex, but I am curious as to the year when members wore their first Rolex. It is optional whether you want to discuss the model of your watch at that time, and under what circumstances you acquired your timepiece.

1983 , second hand SS DJ jubilee . I still have the watch although I no longer wear it , tend to take it out of the safe once and a while but not more. It has been a good and reliable companion of my early twenties till I retired it when I got my first and only white faced 16520 in 1988 . They now share the top shelf in the safe along with some Longines I inherited from my father and grandfather .

I first wore a Rolex in 2007. November 18th to be precise. The Rolex I wore was a Submariner 16610 and i'm wearing it right now. I was 14 back then.

It was a 15th anniversary gift from my wife. Our anniversary isn't until Oct 17, but she was so excited she gave it to me early.

Not mine but my dad's......................wore it when I was 17, it was a Rolex DD in Yellow Gold.

First one I bought myself was like in 2006 - 2007, that late mainly because I liked other brands better.

My first Rolex was acquired in 1991 (or possibly late in 90). It was a ladies 26 mm in SS with slate dial, and I kept going back to the jeweler for almost a year before purchasing it. Prior to buying this watch, I had only worn Seikos, so as you can imagine, the decision to purchase felt huge. Naturally, I am glad I did!

In 2005. I had always wanted one all my life, but never could afford, or justify buying one until then. The first was my Datejust, and I acquired the other three in my collection, plus a Lady DJ for my wife, in short order after that.

Once the floodgates were open, the Rollies came pouring in!!!
