Thinking about adding

What would you add to this collection? I only dress up for funerals and weddings, I'm in my 50s, and looking to stay under 10K. Thoughts?

Nice collection. I’d add something with a blue dial. Chronograph maybe?

A chronograph would be a nice addition

Speedmaster moonphase or Zenith Chronomaster sport - your choice of dial color.

How about a Cartier Santos. There is blue dial & black option that are both really cool.

Funny you mention the Santos. My wife texted me a picture from the mall a few weeks ago. The pic was a blue dial Santos and she said it was a really nice watch.

It is, altho I prefer the two tone white dial as I have a few other blue dials. For a blue dial Rolex I'd go for a YM blue dial for your collection.

Great idea

The Speedy57 with a green dial would also be nice

Blue dial is a great recommendation! If you like TT, how about a preowned 16613? You will be at $10k on that, soon. As prices decline…

I'll throw a Datejust on Jubilee into the mix. I don't find them overly dressy personally so it shouldn't stop you wearing one.

I absolutely love my silver DJ36.

Alternative suggestion would be a chronograph. I actually quite like the look of the Zenith Chronomaster Original (not a fan of the Chronomaster Sport).

Thanks for the reply’s everyone. I was really expecting the consensus to be to add a standard black Submariner. Not mentioned once! Speaking of Submariners, I actually purchased a sub back in 1993. I wound up selling that one in 2012. I also owned a hesilite speedy a few years ago which I also wound up selling. I have to say I miss the speedy more than the sub but I am drawn to the newest sub which I feel has really hit the sweet spot with the latest redesign.

Moonwtach or some variation of Speedmaster.

Alternatively, a DJ (fluted/jubilee) with non-black or white dial.

A Chronograph from Tudor would look good. I own both the black and the white dial and they are very nice and will not break the bank. You can never go wrong with a Submariner or Speedmaster though.

now is a great time to get a classic black submariner

decent chance that you will start wearing your luxury watch outside of funerals and weddings

Looks like a lot of round case timepieces and just white or black. How about a Heuer Monaco?

For about $10k you could get a CUSTOM MADE Torsti Laine timepiece.

As you say a Submariner would be a nice addition but what about a Tudor Pelagos 39mm? A great everyday watch I’d imagine.

I'd take a look at Grand Seiko. Great watches at a reasonable price. Finish would be a step up from everything you currently own. I'd replace that Seiko 5 you got there with one.

Take a look at their quartz models if you are looking for a beater. This would also add something fresh to your collection without breaking the bank. Seiko invented quartz, so there's also an interesting horological angle there. I own several Grand Seikos and love all of them. If I had to get rid of all but one, I'd keep my SBGN003 Quartz GMT.

GS is definitely on the radar. I've always liked the SBGM221.

Been loving the zenith chronographs lately. It would make an awesome addition, I personally love the tricolor subdials.

I completely agree that you should add a blue dial piece to your collection.
the rolex YM blue dial will surely be a good fit.
