Just notice a defect on my 2020 126334 purchased from AD

Hi I have noticed a defect on my watch when the light caught it on holiday and now I can't unsee it. Is this something I should be going back to the AD with? 20221014_184555~4.jpg

Have to agree loupes high and extremely magnification can and will be a new Rolex owners worst enemy. Might I suggest to the original poster wear your watch in good health for the next 20 plus years. Now thats far more important than any perceived miniscule high magnified so called dial defect.

That looks more like a natural deviation in the dial. I would not go back to the AD about it.

I also have no idea on what you’re calling out. SMH. Can you clarify and provide other angles?

Don't get a Samsung Ultra 22+

108 MP at 100 x zoom.

Once seen cannot be unseen. I can't buy any watch anymore.

Wait... might not be such a bad thing after all.

It's not just a small blemish. It's almost the size of the V

Are you talking about the dark oval area next to the V?

Can you post a picture from a little further back or less magnification so we have a point of reference?

Its sounds to me like you should send it in.

Personally, once you see something, it’s very hard to unsee it

If it is a problem for you then send it in and have them fix it. No issue.

Can we see from a couple different angles? I see exactly what you mean, but I wonder if it'll look different under different light/from different angles/with the hands in different positions (since they reflect). That's the thing about sunburst dials that's a blessing and a curse: they hide minor defects very, very well but also make it appear there are defects where there aren't any. Same can probably be true during the Rolex QC process (to a lesser degree).

My feeling would be this: If I thought it was just a slight misapplication of paint/finishing during manufacturing, I'd leave it alone. If I thought it was damaged during manufacturing/assembly, or appeared to be some kind of moisture damage, I might have it checked (at the very least pressure tested, which doesn't involve sending in/opening up the watch).

You consider it a defect. You can’t unsee it. Your watch is under warranty. And you’re asking us?

You can see that little stain mark better without magnification. I don't like it.

Take it to the AD and see what they say but I’d live with it if I were you. I couldn’t see anything in your original photo.

Like most things in life, mind over matter. This is no different.

Now I see what you are talking about. Rolex clearly needs professional services to get the stink bugs out of the assembly area.

Back to the AD for me.

It looks like a bad stain or flaw in the finish on the dial. I would send it in under warranty.

Ask your AD to see what they say; if on warranty most likely they will send it to an RSC center. You will be without your watch for a couple of months, though.

If it's in warranty just send it in.

I wouldn't be happy with such a large blemish on the dial.
