Looks good if you like pink. Affordable, too, for a 50-piece LE.

Well, as huge a fan of GS that I am.......meh. I would have to pass on that one. 1) pink, not my color. 2) not a fan of the high beat.

I pretty much stick to SD or 9F's. Love accuracy. Like picking up a 9F, putting it on and heading out. Always ready, always dead accurate. Also thinner, which I prefer. Makes it easy for me out of my growing collection of GS's.

I think it's nice and for a piece limited to 50 a neat concept. I'm sure it won't be easy to get for some interest individuals, but as a collector it would be amazing to own something where only 50 exist.

Not bad but not enough to make me ever consider a purchase.

What I don't get about this is the market. Really really pink dial and a GMT and a 40mm case size. Who is this for?

Also, 14.1mm thick? Why? The Seiko Samurai is 13mm and it's a dive watch.

Why?

I think an Oz Ltd should have been a Turtle or Landmaster or more rugged land sea reference. This looks like a GS Presage Cocktail time, which is not a bad thing outside the context.

Nice concept.

“The pink flannel flower (Actinotus forsythii) is a rare wildflower native to Australia. It blooms under rainfall in the season following a bushfire to bring new life and new colour to landscapes scorched at the hand of fires. It is a sign of rebirth and renewal that showcases nature’s ability to overcome adversity.

The first Australian Exclusive Limited Edition Grand Seiko, SBGJ269, is inspired by this symbol of resilience. Its unique dial mimics the blossoming of the pink flannel flower whilst the red of the GMT reflects the colour of the flower buds just before they bloom.”

A box crystal is one that rises vertically above the bezel, like a pane of glass that's been laid on top of a table.

Box crystals can be prone to chipping on the edge of the crystal if it get's bumped.

Back to the thickness issue, box crystal or not, a dressy watch should be thinner than that, box and all. If it was 12mm, I'd say that was acceptable. IF it means not being a GMT, so be it.

For me, the lovely effect that crystal has is well worth the added thickness.

Looks great in person. Pink isn't really my jam but it isn't a shocking pink. Happy with my purchase.

Viewing the photos as opposed to the images I now wish I had accepted the offer from GS for one when first announced

I too had reservations about the pink but the renders are very pink..in person it is a very nice subtle pink.

Pink isn’t really an Australian colour.

There’s a bit of creative licence involved I suspect in the choice of colour and description.

Alas, not for me. Though it definitely appeals to some.
