GMT availability getting better?

Wondering if BLNRs are starting to become alittle more obtainable lately. Looking to purchase one from my AD on jubilee bracelet.

Are these obtainable with a decent purchase history??

Depends where you live, AD demographic, your spend history etc.
All too many variables. You’d be best to ask your specific AD for an idea

If it helps, big chain AD here has closed all GMT note of interest lists, even to people with spend history

GMT availability getting better?

My AD told me “it will never happen” too many interested… No lists or taking down names….

If you have good spend history, yes.

I was offered one 24 hours after asking. Sometimes it’s just pure luck

Who knows, in my research OP41 green is really hard to buy atm, but I was offered one about 4 weeks after asking for one (spend history just a Tudor BB58 earlier this year). GMT Pepsi is my attainable grail watch so I’d love to get it in the next year or 2. In the meantime I will enjoy my green OP as a daily

GMT availability getting better?

According to our prestigious market experts, you won’t have to worry about getting one from an AD as they will be abundantly available at prices similar to MSRP or less!

Good fortune and good speed on your endeavor

They are always obtainable, it just depends on you, your AD and occasionally being in the right place at the right time.

If we're discussing length of queue, this also depends on you, your AD and how many people above you fall off, get booted or pass when they get the call. Anecdotal observations suggest to me that things re easing, in the absence of any hard data.

I was recently advised that the lists are shorter than they were. The new lefty GMT hasn't gotten as much interest as the prior GMTs and was actually offered as "I could probably get this for you if you asked". Same story with the green OP41 and the BLNR. Sub LV and BLRO are still backed up at this AD I'm told.

However, this experience will likely not be the same for random walk ins, but for familiar faces only.

Oddly enough, I have already seen 3 of the new green GMT in the wild..

I've spent 20k. Was told it would need to be another $15k at least.

Is that enough history?

Clearly I'm better off going Grey. And you as well OP.

I have been waiting until you get your BLNR. Didn’t know you spent that much. I know you know this, but you are getting hosed. Have spoken to the owner and or area VP/manager?

In the UK its tough.

I've bought at least 5 other brands in last 18 months from my AD and only now after politely saying "what's going on here"

I've been promised something from their stash for Xmas.

I really hope they don't think a plain gmt is going to please me :(

I would say yes! There are a number of incoming threads for GMT's with and without purchase history. So, definitely possible. Just try your luck, visit multiple AD's and express your interest. Check in with them every so often and one of them might be giving you "The call" one day! That's basically the best you can do. Buy something else from them if you actually want it imo, not just to get a spend history.

It's worth inquiring. Availability is better now than it was earlier this year and it may get better still in the coming months

Been on the waitlist for a BLRO for four months so far (spend history includes some Mikimoto for the wife and my 124060). Granted, my AD is pretty small, so I think their volume is rather low to begin with, sadly.

I've asked multiple ADs that I purchased from. They told me that the outlook on the GMT is very grim for me and I've bought 1-2 watches from them. I was also advised to look for something else.

Icon9 Wtfk...

Read into that acornym what you may, but the below is the reply I just received back from a local Rolex AD

at the moment I do not have the GMT MASTER II in Everrose gold but I do have your information and inquiry with me in your portfolio, however due the the high global demand it far outweigh the inventory we receive. Are you interested in similar models in the Everrose gold material

So the GMT I would like to buy is not available, but other models might be. I replied asking for a specific model or pictures. If I like it I will buy it.

You bet. Economy continues in its current path, the gray market will not be able to generate enough false hype and fake scarcity and will have to pull back, meaning more at the AD.

They are being delivered to ADs and being sold to customers. The trick is to enamor yourself with your AD, so you become a customer for this watch. How you do that will vary greatly with ADs.

Can someone get a GMT with no purchase history? Would like to expand my net and get a GMT for my traveling purposes. Will fly anywhere in the US to pick it up.

No, they can't. Not without building the relationship anyway. I live in a flyover state, and was able to purchase mine with no history, but i waited over 2 years to get it. I went in regularly to see what else they had, catch up, etc.

In those conversations, i learned that they get calls multiple times each day from people across the country thinking that because it's flyover, people won't be as interested. It's the same everywhere....nowhere us unique right now. You either have no chance, have a chance, but have to wait years, or get extraordinarily lucky (i've heard of some ADs just putting them out for first come first serve).

Unlikely is the answer. And not in a timely fashion.

Unless you’re a celebrity or very high net worth individual
