1985 Rolex 18038 Day-Date 36mm President Fluted Bezel Silver Dial Perfect Bracelet

For sale is an excellent condition 36mm 18 karat yellow gold Rolex Day-Date. The 18038 is an 8.6 million serial, circa 1985. The Rolex features a brushed yellow gold case, which is accented by a fixed gold fluted bezel. The Day-Date is mounted on an 8385 gold President bracelet, which features brushed outer links, polished center links, and is secured by a hidden deployment clasp. The bracelet contains 20 full size links, and sits loose on a 7.15 inch wrist. The Rolex features a silver sunburst luminova service dial with applied polished yellow gold stick hour markers, yellow gold superluminova coated hands, a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock, and a day window aperture at 12 o’clock. The movement used in the 18038 is the Rolex single quickset Caliber 3055, which features approximately 48 hours of power reserve and is running extremely well.

The case on the 18038 has been preserved exceptionally well and contains even thick lugs, and appears to have only been lightly polished once. The bracelet is in immaculate condition and contains virtually no stretch, while the coronet on the clasp remains thick and crisp. Overall the Day-Date is in excellent condition and has been preserved exceptionally well, as it appears to have only been lightly polished once when it received its factory service, and contains virtually no bracelet stretch.
