It's a very good looking watch in either of the two variants. The case is very unique, I could see myself owning one of those.

I had and loved the White version. Wore super comfortable, was versatile and of course accurate. Leave it to GS to create a white dial quartz that is infinitely interesting to look at and enjoy.
I've owned manual wind, automatic, spring drive and hi-beats in various cases and sizes and this is without doubt or hesitation one of my favorites. It's a just right blend of brushed and polish to be under the radar yet still be beautiful at the same time - which into say its works well in a variety of situations. The bi-color lume is cool and the fact that this one of very few GS to have lume on all the hour markers is a plus to me |

Does any 20mm strap fit on these or is there anything to consider beforehand? |

Have always loved the look of these watches. These, along with the SBGV243/245, have some of the most awesome looking cases I've seen. Wish they offered the muscular and sporty cases on their hi-beat/SD models.
Anyway, get the white one. |

Leaning towards the black one. I prefer the Arabic markers above the indices and want to stare at the ‘deep luscious ebony purest of the darkest of all chocolates’ GS dial in the flesh. Thank you for the feedback.

Excellent choice, CJ! I likely would have made the same decision, but the white dial makes it tough. Can't wait to see your pictures when it arrives!

Landed!
I’m not much a picture taker so this will have to do. First impressions: 1. It’s nice on a sporty strap but the stainless steel would have been nice too. 2. The zozaratutso polishing is really nicely done. Not as earthmoving as the myth makes one believe, but definitely better than on other watches I have costing over $20k. And this one has some miles on it. 3. It’s solid. Feels like it was forged not cast. 4. I can’t tell if the GS logo at 12 is floating or or not. (Edit: it’s raised.) 5. The hands are right on the indices and it’s crisp ticking. Not as loud as an OQ but it’s robust when you bring it to you ear. 6. The dial is deep black. Hard to describe but it looks darker than my other black watches 7. If you have other Seikos you immediately see and feel the quality difference. The difference between a modern Prospex or Ananta or Presage is there. The real meat however is in the movement but it’s a shame you can’t see it. Anyway, after a few hours it definitely is an easy quality wear and I like it’s a quality quartz. Definitely recommend a preowned and even a new one as they’re a great buy. But you have to see and touch it to fully appreciate it if you’re an only Swiss and never quartz person — which really would be a shame. Edit: the dial just pops so nicely under brighter light. This is one of those watches that needs to be seen in the flesh. Undoubtably all GS do better on the light. |

I prefer mechanical, nice watch in both dial colors, but that white dial is very nice. I'm not a big watch collector and I have the AK and light gray Omega AT so that white dial would work for me. Congrats and enjoy.

GS "tough" case, 9F super accurate and extremely durable movement.
You have got one tough watch there CJ. I like both the black and white iterations of this watch. Congratulations on your new watch! look forward to seeing many pictures posted.
