Yeah, putting a date on a divers watch was never a good idea in the first place ..

Actually, it’s a great idea. Lots of people that spent time in the water did not spend all of their time in water. Many professions, such as marine, biologists, marine ecologist, and other such professions, also spent significant amount of time out out of the water, and often in classrooms and often doing paperwork, so the date function and the ability to use the same watch when teaching in the classroom and putting on the wetsuit is actually a pretty good thing.

I was taught:

30 days has September, April, June, and November. All the rest have 31, except for February, the shortest one.

I don't have that problem, I was too poor to get a Rolex with a date function

People have unrealistic expectations for Rolex quality these days. Don’t do micro shots if you are that sensitive.

…. Why don’t you add some authentic factory stickers while you are at it

Mine showed the same date this morning so I dropped it off at the AD for a new battery. Should be ready in 6-8 weeks!

I switched watches this morning. Had to set the date when I put it on. Typical routine on an almost daily basis.
