Service advice for 16570 (Exp II)
Hello my favorite forum,
About a year ago I purchased an M-series 16570, which would date it around 2008 (papers were not included). It was purchased from JustRolexes (my favorite trusted seller on here). The watch was in excellent condition and runs about +3 spd. I’ve had it pressure tested at LA Watch Works and it passed. My question is: without knowing the service history, how long should I wait to get this 14 or 15 year old watch serviced by RSC? Thanks much! PS-every thread should at least have one pic. |

I held off a service on my YG Daytona for 20 years due to very light usage and it was running perfectly. I decided I was starting to push it at 21 years so I took it to RSC Beverly Hills. They did an amazing job on the polish and it looks and performs like new…

If it's running well, would not service.

water resistance is biggest concern for me. maybe it passed the test but that was at one point in time. I'd at least get teh seals replaced.
Another benefit of going though RSC for a service for a second hand purchase is the peace of mind is everything is authentic. |

If it does not see water use and running fine, I personally would not service. I have a 14 year old Panerai and a 100 year old pocket watch. Both never serviced and I see no reason to now.

Agreed. Do you swim with it? If not, then I wouldn't have it serviced until service was needed.

Thanks for the replies.
I swim with it all the time. Does this change anyone’s response? |
