Oisin says the exhibition only models won't be sold as new, instead they will be offered as CPO when they're 3 years old, they've been around for 1 1/2 year already. These would constitute the majority of the CPO program watches, the rest could come from established customers trading in a watch previously bought in the store (with its corresponding traceability).
It's a bold claim but it solves the problem of ADs having to deal with preowned watches from the general public. It would make it even more difficult to be sold a new watch at retail price for the average customer. Only VIP clients would receive an allocation. Yes, I can see ADs resorting to these tactics to bump their profits. |
