Daytona: Full gold VS Oysterflex?

Finally got my matching Daytonas. Curious to hear which do you prefer and why? I love both for different occasions. After wearing the full gold one for a while, the Oysterflex feels so much more relaxing

I'd go full gold on a Daytona.

I struggle with the difference in price. A slight jump and full gold is the way. Nothing beats a full gold Daytona IMO.

I love my full gold more as well. But the OF is great with that ceramic bezel and the comfort of the rubber!

For me , defo oysterflex. If they did the ceramic bezel on full gold that’d be first choice.

I own the oysterflex and also the white gold OF. Both are unbelievably comfy.

Nice to have both options, but IMHO if you’re going gold … it’s gotta be the full monty

I like the OF. Full gold needs the ceramic bezel, IMO. Then all gold Daytona would be a hard choice vs the DD40.

If Rolex ever decides to introduce ceramic bezels on the full gold models, then I would lean that direction. For now, Oysterflex

To me, the Daytona is a sporty watch, obviously, and the rubber bracelet makes it look more sporty / is a better pairing for a sports watch.

If the same dial is available on the OF, 100% OF!
Only the blue and green JM Daytona I would go with full PM bracelet, simply because they aren’t available in OF, but doubt the colour scheme would go well with the OF strap.

This dial is crazy. I think it looks best on Oysterflex!

100%! Matte black dial/ceramic bezel with the OF works really well

This dial doesn’t look as great with the gold bezel imo.

I think the OF looks better aesthetically, but its hard to justify with such a minimal price difference between it and the full gold.

Oysterflex looks better with no consideration of price.

I prefer OF because cerachrome bezel more protective. Plus, full gold can look overly blingy.

why not..?

curious to hear the downsides.....was it primarily sizing / fit issues? (i've read it feels too top heavy & unbalanced)

For this particular model, I think it looks best on the OF, as I find all gold Daytonas to be seriously OTT. However, the price for the OF compared to the solid gold bracelet is just crazy.
