rolex 5512 or 5513?
Hi,
can someone tell me if it' s true that some old submarine 5512 have printed in the case back the ref. 5513? Thanks paolo |

Yes, some do. It doesn't affect the value at all, apparently. These were at times interchanged at the factory.

So can i buy , for instance , a submarine 5513 cal.1560 or 1570 ? usually only 5512 have these cal. when , on the contrary 5513 should have cal. 1520 or 1530. what do you think? |

No, if it has a cal. 1560 or 1570, then it is not a 5513. When in doubt check the case reference number between the lugs at 12:00. The ref. number on the inner case back is not always reliable when it comes to these no-date Subs. Most of the 5512 dials also state the chronometer rating (all but the very earliest of these).

i do understand what you mean, but in accordance to what you told me before if i find a rolex submarine cal. 1560 from '68 but in the case back is stamped 5513, that means that i 've found a 5512 from'68 cal.1560, doesn't it? Ciao paolo |
