Looking for a 126619LB
Hello all,
I have a 126610LV and Datejust 41 (blue dial, fluted on Jubilee), and would like to trade them in for a 126619LB (with some cash obviously). The AD I bought my two watches from (and my wife's DJ) have since closed down, so I am back to sure one when it comes to an AD with a purchase history. Is it worth speaking to an AD and waiting for it that way (I have no purchase history at all with them), or just buy it from a used dealer? I would prefer the AD obviously, but have no idea how rare or hard to get these are (AD is giving me the line on they guarantee timescales etc). UK based. Thanks! |

I believe these are quite hard to get (I'm in the US). I've heard only a piece or two a year get delivered at ADs. Prices for these on the grey market are at or under msrp in the States at least. Just go grey with a trusted seller. I can tell you from experience that you will not regret it.

You should have no trouble at all getting one through an AD, especially one that is participating in the CPO (Rolex “certified preowned program”).
If your comfort level is buying through an AD, that’s the approach I’d take. You could also compare what they offer you to what a trusted gray dealer will offer. I believe you can buy the 619 at slightly below retail now |

These are obtainable at an AD with a reasonable wait.
Why waste that purchase history by working with a secondary dealer when you can get established with a new AD? It’s a no brainer. Just have some patience. |

As long as you don’t mind paying approximately 10% more when factoring in sales tax, I think this may be the wise path if you plan to by other watches. This would definitely get you in the door with an AD. It’s not going to open the flood gates but you will be taken seriously. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have one and think it's pretty special. I think you should be able to get one from an AD without too long a wait. I have no idea how many an AD may get in a given year but IMO, it's not the hottest commodity out there. Many don't care for it because it doesn't scream "look at my USD 41K gold watch". Presumably purchasing at an AD would bode well for future purchases. Good luck.

I hear you For me, it comes down to primarily that I simply prefer the appearance of a WG (or SS) time piece over YG or RG when it's on a full bracelet. Sure, it's cool wearing an expensive watch that virtually nobody recognizes for what it is but if YG was my thing, I'd be rocking it in YG

It took my husband over 2 years to get one in. He was first on the list. It’s a high volume AD, they had sales staff that had never seen one. Very few come in. They aren’t easy to come by new from an AD. David SW has one for sale now, previously owned.

There are a few in UK ‘greys’ on Chrono24 right now that are new and under list price.

I actually just got the call from my local AD today. I’ve never purchased from them before and typically go grey for convenience. I expressed interest a few months ago and they called today. I probably could have saved a few bucks going grey again, but this worked out well to open the door to future allocations. It’s a cool piece I’ve been contemplating since release, as I loved my black one but was so common. Will sell the DSSD now.

I'd speak to an AD or several first.
If you go grey, WF have two at around MSRP and will give you the best price you'll likely get from a trader for your trade ins. They also have one 116619LB which I find much more tempting - if the condition is good enough. |

Such a great watch. Congrats. It’s not very high in demand, cannot really understand why.

I think it’s just the price and everyone THINKS it looks just like stainless steel.

That makes it for me so interesting. But probably most people buy the watch on other reasons / look.
