Looking For Some Advice On Buying A Watch In Person
Hey All,
First time posting here so any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated! Bit of context, I live in the UK and want to buy a watch from a Private Seller in the Netherlands. Post Brexit this means I would be paying 20% import tax which is a significant amount - so much so that it's cheaper to fly to the location for the weekend and pick up the watch in person. This is what I'd like to do but I'm keen to get any advice that anyone may have. I've done my due diligence and believe the watch is real, it's also listed on verified sites. The only drawback I'm nervous of is that there is an issue with the payment and it takes multiple days to rectify - that case I could be left without the watch and having to hang around the seller to it did! Has anyone had any advice or experience before and if so, what did you do? Thanks |
