Oysterflex sizing? E-E vs E
Does anyone know what's going on with the Oysterflex sizing? I've seen many pictures and the sizes vary from either just 1 letter, C-H, or 2 letters E-X where E is always the same and X goes from C-H.
Take a look at the two pictures I attached. There doesn't seem to be any pattern related to whether it's the 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock band, either. I've seen it all be 1 letter, or all 2 letters, or mix like the pictures. Does anyone know what's going on? |

Original Oysterflex straps that first came out had the two letter configuration E-D, E-E, E-F etc.
This was updated to the single letter I believe three years ago but no other differences have been noticed. Rolex suggests having the shorter strap on the 6 o'clock side and longer on the 12 but some people have used two E's so you can use any strap length on any side. |

Also, you will find threads herein that will tell you that the letter represents the number of links, e.g., on my metal bracelet Daytona I have 5 links on one side, and 6 links on the other … in an OysterFlex on Daytona, I wear an E on one side, and an F on the other side (the side for each is individual as to fit / comfort) … 5 links = E … which is the fifth letter in the alphabet 6 links = F … which is the sixth letter in the alphabet |

One letter ie “E” is a newer production compared to two letters ie “EE.” Otherwise they are the same
