First Submariner 99’ 11610
After wanting one for many years, I just picked up my first Submariner today at a local jewelry store. It’s a 16610 from 99’ that was recently serviced and in great condition. It has an A serial number but has ‘Swiss Made’ on the dial. From what I’ve read, the majority of the A’s had a Swiss ‘only’. Would this make it from later in n 99’?
Thanks |

Is the numeral right after the A a higher one, like 7, 8 or 9? All the A/Swiss Made ones I have seen were like that.

You're welcome. I have owned a Swiss Made Sub and GMT II that were both A8 and sold in Hong Kong (where turnover was quite high) in August 2000.

Thanks, folks - much appreciated.
I’ve owned a Tudor Black Bay for years, it’s a great watch but never scratched that Sub itch. I tried a few 116610’s which were nice but the 11610 is definitely the one. |
