Buddy's Batman bracelet stolen. Jubilee replacement?

My buddy has a 126710 Batman and the bracelet was stolen from the hotel safe. I guess he had it on a Rubber B band. Why he brought the bracelet with on a vacation is a head scratcher to me. Anyway, he wants to ask Rolex for a replacement but wants to ask for a jubilee. I didnt think this would work but someone else told him as long as the reference has an option for the 69200 jubilee, they will order it for him. Is that true?

This is fortunately untrue. I know of a recent acquisition from last week, ordered the week prior. This was for an oyster, however.

The only consistent theme is that the process is extremely inconsistent.

I would be shocked if they weren't able to fill orders for lost/damaged bracelets. That seems crazy even for Rolex.

I asked my AD for a Jubilee for my BLRO Oyster. He said he can’t do it but can order an Oyster bracelet.

I've tried this as well but my watch had the bracelet. They did tell me if I sent the Oyster in, they would sell me a jubilee. So, basically, give them my Oyster and then buy a new jubilee!

In my experience, hotel safe thefts are inside jobs.
Definitely don’t need to be staying there.

Call the Dallas RSC: 1-833-765-3900 - tell them the bracelet was stolen/lost (I can tell you from experience they will generally want the original oyster bracelet if swapping for the jubilee). Tell them you want the jubilee for it, and from the conversations I've had with them there, they may very well be accommodating. The thing is, they customer service agents won't have a definitive answer for you. They'll send you the shipping box and you'll (your friend) send the watch in. Once received they'll be in touch and let you know your options. Worst case, they'll only sell you the oyster and it can at least be replaced. Best case they sell the jubilee.

- One other option is just to say you want to purchase a jubilee for it. Don't mention the oyster caper. When I called about getting a jubilee for a 16710 they gave me the option of paying slightly more for the jubilee but being able to keep both bracelets. Basically, if you trade one the cost on the new one comes down. If you keep both the new one costs you more.

In the end, just be honest and tell them what you want. The folks there in Dallas were very nice to deal with and you're talking with a normal human being in customer service who will want to help if you are nice to them.

So where was your buddy on vacation? Does he think it was it an inside job by hotel staff?

About 1.5 year ago in order a jubilee for my oyster net and was not problem , i kept
my oyster two . The jubilee will
work on my Pepsi to.

If the watch came on Oyster and as others have stated, Rolex has stopped all orders for the jubilee bracelet for now. They might open it up again, but no one knows when.

The bracelet being stolen will result in the original bracelet that the watch was sold with being purchased.

I had the same issue about 1.5 years ago, my friend lost his jubilee in a move, and went to the AD to order a replacement. The AD took the info and placed the order for the jubilee bracelet as this was the original bracelet that it came with. Rolex Canada, emailed the AD asking why is the person asking for a replacement and the SA had to explain that the original one was lost in a move and the watch was worn on a rubber strap. Took three months, but Rolex did send the jubilee replacement (cost was $2800cdn).

I would suspect that Rolex fields all sorts of lost and stolen bracelets requests for the other model.
