Great day at the beach
We finally had some sunshine here recently so we took a trip to the beach with the kids.
Love the go anywhere nature of the Diver. Been really impressed at the resilience of it as a daily for 6 years now. ![]()

That’s a great looking watch. I’m curious about those supposed screws or bolts on the face of the bezel. A hexagon shaped bolt inside a hexagon shaped hole is not going to spin too much. Strange that it has a slot for a screwdriver.
I assume those are just decorative? |

The bolts run all the way through the case and hold the bezel and case back together, creating pressure against internal gaskets that allows the diver case to be water tight. On Offshores, there are special nuts hidden inside the case that screw down using a special tool, and hold the bezel on. The case back is held on by external round nuts that are tightened onto the back of the bolts by a screwdriver, and the movement can be accessed by unscrewing them to remove the caseback. The "screwdriver" slot on the front is purely decorative but the bolts are in fact functional and hold the whole case together. ![]() |
