116500LN Question
When I wind my watch it feels very gritty when it’s fully wound? It only gains 1 second a day so I don’t think it needs servicing

Normal - mainspring will slip once fully wound. This feeling is often referred to as “gritty”. It is a built-in mechanism designed to prevent “over-tightening” and in effect, breaking of the mainspring.
Your watch is fine. I assume it’s smooth to wind for the first 40 or so winds.

If it's only gaining 1 second a day, that's pretty impressive accuracy! The grittiness when winding could just be a little quirk of that particular watch. As long as it's keeping time well, it might not need servicing just yet. Enjoy that precision timekeeping!

When the mainspring is fully wound, it slips within the barrel in which it resides. Continuing to wind it is forcing the mainspring to go round and round inside, pressing, and wearing, against the sides. If the inside of the barrel gets too worn then the mainspring will slip at much less than a full wind, decreasing its ability to provide full power.

Thank you guys. I think I was just over winding it. It’s a 2017 model. I bought it grey so I’m paying attention to every detail

When the mainspring is fully wound up,it just slips in the spring -barrel that's the sound and feels gritty.
