Went in to pick up one watch…

Left with two! Love my SA. I have a long history before anyone asks and substantial spend, especially in the last 2 years (two sold gold Rolex models, a two tone, a steel, a few Tudors, some jewelry etc).

Was super excited to pick this up. Tank Louis rose gold has been in my radar ever since my SA first showed me it, maybe 9 months ago. I wasn’t ready then as I didn’t know Cartier well. After researching and reading, you know how it goes. I had to have it. It’s a beautiful watch, absolutely love it.

When I arrived, my SA said something like “I think I have something you will like. It will be an expensive day but I’m betting you will be happy!” I was still trying to understand what was going on. Then he brings out two boxes. The Cartier and a Rolex.

I had indicated I wanted the discontinued panda all the way back when the new one was first announced. Turns out this one was tucked away for me, just waiting as a surprise when I got my next watch! I was beyond surprised, am still surprised and so happy I got the discontinued version in 2024!

Long story short, treat your SA with respect. If you spend and build history, it’s possible. The watch in person is absolutely stunning.

My journey isn’t over. I have a few more watches I already know I want. I also am going to branch off into Patek, maybe late this year early next year. All with the same SA!

Thank you! Yes, so far I’ve been wearing the tank as it’s what I was expecting. Daytona will get time once my love affair with the Cartier has subsided a little. Hah! Love the tank LC!

Congratulations x 2!!

I think your experience validates what many have opined about watches sitting in AD's safes. Given the information you provided regarding your relationship with your SA and spend at the AD, it seems like good business to take care of a good Customer.

Enjoy!

Thanks all!

Perhaps, the watch was fully stickered and stickers were removed in front of me. They do put watches aside for good customers, I think you are right. If it wasn’t for me, someone else who is a loyal customer I’m sure would have jumped on it! Can’t offer these to anyone who walks in as flippers would be waiting outside in lines if they did that!

Congrats x3!!! Very happy for you, and both watches look fantastic! I agree with the statement above, continued validation of how much AD inventory exists in AD safes for "hard to get" watches.

Big congrats. Love the Cartier, and I know how much YOU love that 11 series Daytona. What a great day. Enjoy both watches! Now, which one to wear first?

lol Kat. I’ve read you aren’t a Daytona fan.

Cartier is getting wrist time. I’m keeping the Daytona until I wear in the Cartier properly, so I can enjoy one new watch at a time.

Everyone else, thank you 🙏!!!

Congrats.

Love the Tank LC.

I've been wanting a yellow gold version, so have been considering picking up a vintage one rather than new once I'm allowed to buy another watch lol... but these are a beauty. And I do like that Cartier's rose gold is not excessively pink. Almost passes for yellow unless they're side by side.

Enjoy ! What a result … I wonder how many 116500 are left still to come into circulation, I’ll certainly ask my AD next time I’m in …

Double Congrats!

I love Cartier, it's very elegant timepiece. I have 4 Cartiers in my collection (YG Santos, SS Santos, YG Octagon and TT Cartier Carree) and plan to add Cartier Tank soon.
