Watch stores in Boston!

On vacation in Boston walked Boylston and arlington this morning and they are all there…patek, breitling, hublot, richard mille, iwc. I probably will not go in the longs rolex store front as reviews are mixed and i will have my wife and daughter with me. My wife and i were treated very poorly at her home town AD in west palm beach. Any advice from the locals i am not planning on buying….but will if i find something that sings.
Thanks Roy

I haven't been in a while but I always love stopping in to the ALS boutique. Usually some beautiful items to look at! The Rolex boutique (managed by Long's) is a skip for me.

Though I have never been there in person I would suggest checking out European Watch Company. They sell new and used watches. I bought and sold with them in the past and it was a top notch experience.

I am a local and Newbury Street has become a great place for Watch geeks! EWC is great if you’re looking for specific pieces, but not a place where you can browse.
There’s also GS in Copley.
I also happen to be a client of Long’s and highly recommended their Patek boutique…it’s gorgeous.
Enjoy!

I live nearby Boston for almost a year now.

Have visited all Rolex AD locations nearby and can confidently say that Long's is the worst AD in the NE. Their other boutiques are fine, but not Rolex. One of their guys just straight told me to go to my previous AD in NYC since I bought several watches from them already in the past...

Longs on Newbury (Rolex) was not a good experience. I had to be buzzed in by security and asked why I was visiting before allowed to enter. Told them I wanted an adjustment to my new Sub Date bracelet (bought at another AD) and during the adjustment remained in the lobby with 3 security guards visible with weapons. Very cold and off putting experience.

I had a great time shopping with the family on Newbury! IWC…was lovely but the watches dont sing for me. Patek Philippe was a wonderful experience my wife and daughter loved it and most importantly i did to. Put my name down for a watch that cost more than most stuff i own…we shall see. Rolex was a horrible experience. The person that said they were there to help had the door open for me to leave before i even got back to the front of the store. Followed me around and never asked if i was interested or wanted to try anything on. Richard Mille had three watches. My wife made fun of the employees about what do they do all day. Breitling was fantastic never thought I would like them and they are all for sale thinking hard about going back. All in all a great day. Tomorrow we may back to Patek Phillipe my wife found a necklace in the jewelry store above….we agreed she would sleep on it. Thanks for all the post and wanted to follow up!

Glad you enjoyed yourself, albeit a bit rainy for the first time in a while. We just returned from Vancouver and we had an equally bad experience at the Rolex boutique but wonderful experience at all the others (Tudor, Patek, Omega).

Longs Rolex Boutique was not a good visit. The senior sales associate was pushing us to purchase Patek watches across the street that were hard to sell, as a means to "start a relationship".
Otherwise, NO STOCK for Rolex. Forget it.

If you have the opportunity check out Shreve, Crump and Lowe, great selection of multiple brands!

Agree. Their pre owned selection upstairs is great! They also run the VC boutique across the street.

The security is due to the current state of crime in Boston, not a diss on the customer

The store doesn’t do well if armed intruders enter and shoot or stab people and rob them along with the store.
