Wedding band…plain or diamonds?

Went to replace my lost wedding ring. It was plain. Platinum with a mill grain edge. This diamond one caught my see. I’m a khakis and jeans guy. Rarely dress up. Are diamonds to much?

Do what makes you happiest, Shannon! To each their own, and I chose one similar to that:

Everyone has their personal preference, and this was mine. I also have a stainless steel one to wear in rare situations like international travel, especially for swimming etc.

Diamonds aren't my bag. Cartier love ring for me. Simple. Timeless elegance. Under the radar.

Yup…no diamonds. Either a plain platinum band or a Cartier white gold love band.

I have three bands, Diamond Tiffany in Platinum shown, one plain Platinum, and one plain white gold, which one I pick depends on the occasion.

I love the look of a nice wide solid PM wedding band on a man. My husband wears a beautiful yellow gold band. I prefer white gold. I wish our bands matched better, but decided we should each get what we prefer. That was hard for me, as I’m a matchy type person.

No diamonds for me. IMO the wedding ring is a background accessory and not the center of attention. It becomes much more serious jewelry when you make it ornate. If doing any work outside, the ring would be a constant concern. If a stone goes missing, now it's another project to get it replaced. I don't want to think about my wedding ring that much.

Diamonds add a hint of sparkle which can be very nice. It really depends on what you like. Either is fine to me. I would think that diamonds in a ring like that would attract dirt and grime and would be a constant chore to keep clean.

Not for me on the wedding band.....on a Platinum Day Date, the diamond hour markers is a must. Or, diamond hour markers on an OF Daytona as well. But diamonds on a wedding for me, no, I would save that cash for another watch splurge.

I originally had a plain band but the wife wanted to update/upgrade me and I have gotten quite a few compliments on it...

It's really not that sparkly or blingy except in perfect lighting.

No.

I’ve seen men’s wedding rings with diamonds, and some cuts and settings can pull it off nicely. I’m not a fan of that one.

We both started out with plain yellow gold bands, but after several years my husband switched over to titanium, for practical reasons. He’s not a jewelry guy at ail, and is very active, and he enjoys his titanium band very much.

Blechhh! No, men's wedding band should be a simple band with only mild decoration. I don't dig the diamond look at all. Let the ladies wear the diamonds.

OP I totally understand where you’re coming from. The solution I found was to have two rings. My wedding day diamond and a plain white gold band.
