41mm celebration at home
After a long wait and with the kindness of my AD, I now have one of the Rolex models I most wanted for my collection. I only saw it once last year at a tennis event organized by Rolex and I already fell in love. I have to say that having it in real life is fantastic, its colors, that three-dimensional effect of the dial... a good job by Rolex.

This is a watch I really disliked at first, but it has grown on me incredibly. I'm not sure I'll ever be an owner, but I have become an admirer.

I have a good collection of modern and vintage Rolex watches, but this one gives a fresh air to how conservative Rolex is. In fact, in the 70s when the Stella colors of the Day-date appeared, they were not very successful and were on sale for a short time, now they are very coveted models.

I wouldn't make the comparison you have. The current piece you have purchased is a mass produced catalog model that has sold over retail from the start. Not a "sleeper" by any means.
