A night out to celebrate

Got a rare night out with the Mrs. to celebrate her first Rolex! Drinks at Wolf by Vanderpump and dinner at Hells Kitchen in South Lake. The restaurant scene in Tahoe is really coming up and Caesars is spending some big money remodeling Harrahs. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Started with their house old fashioned and snacked on caviar with chips.

Next grabbed a pour of Pappy 15 year (they sadly didn’t have the 20 or 23) to take the sting out of the credit card bill I’ll be paying at the end of the month lol.

Wifey’s second round was a shaken strawberry margarita with house made cotton candy? Sounds weird but it was actually really tasty even if a bit sweet.

Then off to dinner at Hell’s Kitchen. The crab legs were perfection!

Dessert was sticky toffee pudding but I forgot to grab a picture. So good though!

Yum....great looking watch on your wife! Its good to leave the baby at home and have some couple time...very important. When the credit card bill swoops in, just remember, in a years time, you will have forgotten about the extra money you spent to make her happy. Its negligible in the big picture when you look at it that way.

Thanks! Our little one was born in late ‘23 and we’ve basically been home since so it was nice to finally get a night out.

Congrats all around! Looks like a great evening.

BTW, the PVW 15yo is the best I've had. Better than the 20yo [haven't tasted the 23yo].

Thanks Dan! The 15 year is amazing; the 23 is just that much sweeter and deeper in flavor, but honestly any of the PVW’s are a real treat. I prefer sweeter bourbons and they definitely hit that mark! Regular Buffalo Trace is my go to evening pour for the every day.

Would love to taste the 23yo. I found the 20yo a little spicy compared to the 15yo, which has a wonderful vanilla/ caramel aroma. Buffalo Trace is my go to as well. But EVEN THAT is behind lock & key here in Kentucky.

Great post. Looks like a wonderful night.
That watch looks great on her wrist. Is it a 36mm? My wife has the same watch I believe but different color and she loves the 36 size over the 31.

Congrats to her and to you too.

Fond memories of South Lake Tahoe came pouring forth while reading/viewing that night's repast. So happy for you both as she begins her Rolex journey.

Next up 128235 pave'd

Just sayin'

LOL I was genuinely scared to show her Larry’s (BNA/LION) wife’s absolutely stunning pave’d DD because I knew she’d instantly be in love.

Her reaction?

So now I gotta get to work
