Now it's a tie: two Omegas, two Rolexes

Just arrived the other day:

Keeping fantastic time right out of the box: set and wound it yesterday, was within a second at the same time today.

Larry, you are a bad influence; it was your excellent photos of this beauty that started me down this road!

I think that it is one of the best looking dials around...

I love that new little hang tag...

Congrats! I have the same reference, and it is indeed one of the prettiest dials out there. Extremely legible with great lume. Looks great in all kinds of light. Mine will be heading in for a five year service soon, and I'm looking forward to having it look like yours again.

Wear it in good health.

I have this same unit. I love the electric blue so much better than the other blue on the bond versions. What a great watch for the money. I had heard they were discontinued. Maybe I heard wrong? Anyway, its a beauty.

Thanks! Yeah, I agree, I really like the blue on this one much more than the other shade blue on the Seamasters, which I guess is more of a denim-shade. Band is really nicely done as well, this is my favorite Omega sports band by far.

You heard right; it iis, unfortunately, discontinued, which is one thing that spurred me to snap one up while they were still available.

Sadly, you heard right. They have been discontinued along with the black 2254.50 version.

I bought a 2255.80 in April 2007 and sold it later to help fund my EXPII.

Big mistake! Fortunately, I was able to acquire another last April before they were all gone.

Yep, the electric blue Omega Seamaster is a fun watch. I enjoy my quartz version in the rotation cycle. Cheers, Bill P.
