Celebrity Jeopardy is a classic. The recent Beavis and Butthead one was amazing too.

There was a point in time I found SNL hilarious, though I can’t recall a single skit that stands out to me these days.
RIP Farley, too bad we can’t trade the current cast for him back |

All the funniest skits were back in the 70s. I know. I’m old. But 60 is the new 40.

Some funny ones already mentioned
Found Nicolas Cage and his wife picking out a baby name to be hilarious. Bill Murray singing the theme to Star Wars will always be funny. The alternate ending to 'It's a Wonderful Life' is a winner this time of year. And anything with Phil Hartman. That guy always made me laugh.

DeNiro played the part well here in the year or so right after 9/11, this one always made me feel like a 8 year old laughing at inappropriate jokes.

Winery tour with the “cork soakers” taking a few questions is one of my favorites.

Gilda Radner is my all time favorite, Roseanne Roseannadana, Emily Litella and her as Patti Smith. Basically anything with Gilda
2nd would be Eddie Murphy as Mr. Robinson I just watched Ariana Grande, Chloe Fineman and Dana Carvey as Jennifer Coolidge. Hilarious Oh and agree with above re: Debbie Downer with Lindsey Lohan

John Belushi singing with Joe Cocker.
Totally unscripted, and was done without Joe Cockers prior knowledge. |

5 best skits on SNL
Top five that come to my mind are:
Farley getting answers right on Japanese game show where giving wrong answers means torture. Barry Gibb show, especially Fallon's falsetto trills while talking. Belushi in court sleeping in jury as the jurors are passing a note around that contains evidence too dirty to read out loud. After reading it, they shake their heads in disgust. Then it gets to a woman juror next to Belushi who has to wake him to hand him the note. Belushi wakes and takes it thinking she has written it privately to him, and after reading it smiles salaciously to indicate his readiness to go along with her. Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer with Phil Hartman. Jon Lovett as Master Thespian in skit when Dudley Moore appears as his arch enemy. There's a serendipity about it that is so hilarious it even gets them laughing. --- Honorable Mentions: The Big Bitch BullDyke Bustout Of '89 with Rick Moranis hosting and playing Jim Bakker, with Jan Hooks as Tammy Faye. They are kidnapped by Leona Helmsley. Actually that whole show was great. The show Jim Carey hosted was great start to finish too. Norm McDonald as psychiatrist talking to Rosanne Barr who has multiple personalities. There was also a very strange skit with Michael O'Donoghue. I recall there was drinking and a martini glass that got huge, followed by hallucinations of giant spiders. Can't find it to refresh my memory, but it's unusual and interesting. If anyone can find it, please post a link. Thanks. Here's one that I always loved, bleeped but you can figure out what was cut pretty easily: https://youtu.be/O0w2R2JvZ7U?si=Er6RFyKir7R8sLN3 |
