(not sure where is post this)
Hey Gang: I'm looking for a rose gold, real or 'tone', butterfly (or other type) clasp in 18mm. It's for my Breguet and I can get one for $3k+, or used for $2.5k-ish, but I really don't want to spend that much. Any recommendations for a good non-branded solid rose gold or gold-tone clasp? I would prefer solid, but this is for a dress watch that is not a daily wear, so a tone will work too. Thanks! ![]() |

Well, with gold prices being what they are... i'd just bite the bullet and get the used one since this is something you wear.

A new one will be used the moment you wear it. Get the used option. I would not put a "toned" aftermarket mall clasp on a Breguet, seems blasphemous.

Before you look for anything more expensive, try a rose gold plated Hadley Roma deployant (butterfly) for $50 on Amazon. Return it if you don't like it. I've used HR deployants for years on certain watches and like them.

Are you satisfied with the Hadley Roma deployant and what are you most satisfied with?

Found a solution for now. I got a Delugs RG Spring Deployant Clasp in 16mm ($95).
The cool feature is that it allows for the original buckle to be used. The Breguet RG looks a bit yellow next to the Delugs RG, but overall I'm happy. I may still get a solid gold clasp if I find a good deal. ![]() |

What are your thoughts about the build quality and ease of use on the Delugs clasp? I saw that they released those and have been intrigued — I felt like their old deployants were a little cheap but these new looks like a marked improvement.

So far I really like it. It takes a bit to get used to because of the snap-back action, and since I'm using the original buckle I'm careful for the strap not to slip out. I think with the buckle Delugs supplies would feel more secure taking it on/off, but I love that I can use the Breguet buckle.
I put a dark green ostrich strap on last night >>> |
