Rolex S/S 116520 Daytona w Meteorite dial

Just checking your valuable experience about Rolex prices...

I have been offered a 7 year old steel Daytona
with a meteorite/Roman numerals dial.

What is your opinion that I should pay for something
like that..? No box or papers... but excellent condition.

Thank you my friends...

For my humble education, that dial was never available as a factory option on the S/S Daytona, correct?

Even if it comes just with the meteorite dial.. I dont think it will be hard for him to get another dial..

I love that meteorite dial on a Daytona. But the premium of 3X a steel Daytona is just too much to justify!!

Honestly agree. I'm a S/S fan because I'm hard on my watches and I really like the meteorite dial. If Rolex had a custom shop, I would pay them premium to build exactly the watch you describe.

As a side bar rant, during these hard times Rolex should follow the lead of luxury car manufactures in providing customization services. Ferrari is willing to build virtually anything for their valued customers if you are willing to wait and are prepared to pay.

Hi Anastasios,

The SS Daytona with the meteorite dial is a beauty and to make the meteorite dial change to a standard SS Daytona would be a big dollar item - I'd guess >5K. I would expect the watch to sell for at least the price of a new one and I could see someone willing to swap a newer 'M' SS for a 7 year old one with meteorite dial providing the condition was acceptable.

This is an SS with that dial - not my pix unfortunately.

Eddie.

The dial is worth nearly as much as the watch!

I'd say 4k for the dial and 7k for the watch minus the dial -0.5k for the lack of any proof!

Now that is the buyers price. For a reseller like yourself, a bit less.

warning: my post may be stupid, so just ignore if it doesn't make any sense

hmmmm... i guess, have your trusted AD check for authenticity since it wouldn't have any papers to it... authenticity aside, i'd say its rarity would be too much for me to resist...

ps. don't tell me that i didn't warn you hehehe
