Tudor Black Bay "Riveted" Bracelet Finishing

Recently I pick up my latest Tudor watch which is the BB 58 GMT. I felt that the bracelet quality has deteriorate over the years.
If I were to compare with my most recent 3 purchases from BB Pro, BB 54 & BB 58 GMT, the BB 58 GMT has the poorest quality. It doesn’t feel as refined as the rest that I owned.

The edges of the BB 58 GMT are quite sharp and the bracelet squeaks a lot and not as smooth as the others. Somehow the bracelet doesn’t feel the same and it feels “poor quality” to me.

As a comparison, my BB 54 was bought in 2023 but has not been worn and I compare it against the BB 58 GMT and immediately I can feel the difference in quality.

Personally I feel the BB ETA has the best bracelet out of all the BB that I have owned. The BB ETA bracelet is silky smooth and moves fluidly just like my Rolex oyster bracelet.

Yep, a lot of things about the original Heritage Tudors seem better quality, perhaps because they were making a special effort to break back into the international luxury market around 2010 to 2014.

That is so true. I still remember that time when i bought my BB ETA in 2015 and compare it against my Sub 114060, the quality is not as good as a Rolex but it is the best value watch at that price point. The finishing is almost as good as a Rolex.

I own Tudors from 2011, 2018, & 2020 and don't notice any difference in quality.

Yup, all mine from previous years are of same quality - BB GMT (2020), BB Pro (2022) & BB 54 (2023). Only the latest one BB 58 GMT i notice the bracelet build were slightly different.

I can’t speak to the newest model BB’s but my “smiley” has the best, vault-like bezel click that feels amazing, the bracelet is on par with Rolex Oyster IMO, and the ETA movement is one of the most accurate in my collection. It’s a workhorse that punches way above its weight.
