How many of the 1.2 Million watches go to USA?

So we all have heard that Rolex makes 1.2 Million watches a year.. do we know how many are imported into the USA of that 1.2 Million? Is there a distribution list of what country gets what percentage/numbers of watches?

My guess, 250,000 to 300,000.

This is probably a good guess. We do know that the USA is the biggest market for Rolex, but they do sell watches in all of Europe, and most of Asia, too. So I was thinking somewhere around 300,000.

And out of that when one figures how many are steel sports watches it’s easy to see why they are not sitting in cases.

I was asking if Rolex is actually selling in Russia since they stopped after the invasion of Ukraine and it seems like some have some insider info. That was my inquiry, not about Russia’s location geographically. Best to you!

Well, no surprise there I hope.. The US has over 8X the population. I see a ton of Rolex content on Youtube and Rolexes from overseas owners and enthusiasts.

Seems like a large number of watches that are sold in the Grey market in the USA come from overseas markets also..

I figured you were, but like someone posted above, with some luxury brands like Ferrari (for example), North America gets a disproportionate amount of inventory than other regions in the world, and it's entirely possible that Canada gets allocated more than just a percentage based on overall population.

For Rolex, I wouldn't be surprised if they sent less inventory to the US/Canada per person/population count than other countries. Maybe I'm wrong, but there seems to be a lot of Rolex watches coming into the US Grey market from overseas as well as a strong presence of Rolex stores in smaller non-US markets.

You need to put a sarcasm flag up or something. I could do with one myself.

I was going to post "more than England" but you got in first.

I think that was the case back in the day, now Ferrari sells a lot more cars in the Asian market, the GCC countries, etc than they did back then.

Maybe it is more than what I posted above.

Maybe it’s 400,000 USA, 400,000 Europe, 400,000 Asia.

That would explain the Australian members having to wait for so long to buy a Rolex.

I was going to say a small % goes to the rest of the world. I probably should have.
