Watches and Cars.....

Go together great. I went to Yonkers Raceway today, and my family went to the big Classic Car show. It was so great, so many nice rides. I also noticed a bunch of nice watches, Breitlings, Daytonas, Subs, Royal Oaks, you name it! Here are some pics from today. I'll post some more tomorrow. Photobucket is not cooperating.

Some more:

One of my favorites:

Ok in all seriousness, this cooler/moped/awesome thing was one of the best inventions I've ever saw. No joke.

Nice photos! And yes, watches and cars go well together, which is something many brands have recognised - Breitling's Bentley range springs to mind, GP and Panerai have collaborated with Ferrari and I think a high-end watch brand has a Bugatti line (I think it's Richard Mille)...

Cool.

I like the comparisons the film made between old Porsche's / the Steve McQueen Explorer etc....

Man, those Richard Mille watches are in another stratosphere.

Another favorite line was when a British Actor / WIS said there was a connection between men who liked cars & watches...and while he thought of himself as such a man, he did not think much of men who LIKED cars & watches. Go figure!

Yup. Cars / Watches are more closely related than most folks think.

Interesting section in this online documentary film about luxury watches / WIS's:
http://www.theluxurychannel.tv/timeMachines.aspx

Richard Mille talks about racing & his cool watches...also a nice discussion of cars compared to Rolex equivalents / the last few decades...

Now I'm starting to see a connection....when I was little I remember I would walk up and down the street, just naming all the brands of the cars I saw up and down of my block. I was really into cars and I still am. Now it's watches.

I watched that recently and it was such a great, neat into for anyone looking to get into or brush up on WHY we love watches.

Bill, that video captures better than anything I've ever seen "our obsession". I've watched it a few times.

Great pics, Kyle!!

I don't think Rolex is associated with any brand per se, but I know Tudor have a strong connection with Porsche
