Launceston Castle - Modem Killer!
We made it to the castle after 3pm today after going to the health clinic and then having lunch in Launceston. It had been rainy this morning then spotty sun, but the light became brilliant just in time! We stayed on the grounds until just before 4pm, the light changing the whole time.
Couldn't get up the hill as that bit was closed, but you can get a feel for the place from the pics. The main entrance into the wall ![]() The entrance from inside along with ruins of the former kitchen ![]() The castle on the hill ![]() ![]() ![]() A view across the grounds ![]() The gateway up the hill ![]() ![]() Couple of views down the hill from the castle across Launceston and the countryside ![]() ![]() I'm really looking forward to getting up to the main castle someday! Joshy had a blast running around and climbing up the walls ![]() Cheers, Bruce |
