Titanium Yachtmaster, any hope for a GMT?

Hi, was at the AD/ RSC and saw the titanium Yachtmaster in person. What a stunning watch with the color of the metal, and the Gray bezel/ dial. Has anyone heard if Rolex is considering a titanium GMT with gray bezel/ dial? That metal would fit the use concept on a GMT perfectly in my opinion. Also saw a Daytona, wg, pinkish mop dial that was so good looking. I forgot to get a picture of that one. If it's still there when I pick my watch up I'll be sure to remember to take a pic. |

Personally, I’d love to see an Explorer in titanium with white dial.

I like the GMT line as is, but the YM does look great in Ti. Glad you had a chance to check it out.

The Yachtmaster is definitely more of an experimental lineup. Think of how they experimented with it from the start. First model without lug holes. First model with SELs on SS bracelet. First new complication in years (YMII with regatta timer). First model to come on Oysterflex. Now, first titanium Rolex. They are definitely using it to test the waters. As to whether those innovations will make it to other models, we will see. I guess they will use sales figues to determine whether it's worth it.

				 | They make a Titanium GMT, it’s called the Tudor FXD Pelagos GMT Zulu. I imagine you’ll see a Pelagos Ti 39 GMT long before you ever see a Rolex branded GMT in Ti. Certainly never a Yachtmaster GMT, maybe one in the GMT Master II line. It would be super cool if they did a modern Rolex GMT blueberry. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I would expect titanium will come to all models except the Day-Date. It is just so apropos. It rhymes with Roleius Unobtainius. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No one knows but it could be decades or even never. This titanium is an experiment and Rolex may never offer it on more than a few particular models as Rolex is very traditional.
