Shops that do trades?

I am wanting to get rid of my of one of my watches that I bought and have never worn and trade up for a sub plus cash. Does anyone on here know of any places that will do a fair deal? Hope this isnt a stupid question! LOL! Jon

Some shops will, but you'll come out ahead if you sell your watches privately first.

Yes I totally agree with just selling it, but I guess I just want a quick fix right now!

I've traded with Bernard, Wingates and Watchseller. Trade value is well under what you could sell them yourself for. But they have store fronts, advertising, overheads that most people don't have. If you have a camera, it may be to your benefit to list the watches yourself.

Yes I will probably will do that in the future on here but I am a new member and would rather do a face to face type transaction right now. Some people on here are critical about dealing with new guys but I def cant blame them at all!

I've traded with DeMesy in Dallas, and they have beat Wingates and Bernards for trade-in value.

I've traded up with Hamilton's Jewelers which is a national chain. If you're trading a Rolex for a Rolex, it could work for you. My trade involved a Datejust that I purchased from an AD in Nassau towards a YG Daytona/Crocodile strap at Hamilton's. I got more than I had paid for the DJ four years earlier but I'm sure Hamilton's discount was built into my trade. Nevertheless, it worked out for me and I got what I wanted.
